Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a light beam that stimulates cell repair and growth. It is a low-level, or cold light that promotes the healing process of the affected tissues by causing the release of endorphins, muscle relaxation, the decrease of inflammation, and the increase of blood flow. Some of the beneficiaries of laser therapy include are pets with acute or chronic arthritis, surgical incision sites, tendon or ligament injuries, and traumatic injuries. Incision Site / Open Wounds

One of the main uses for laser therapy that we use is to accelerate the healing process after surgery or if there are any small wounds on your pet. We may use a laser therapy session paired with SSD cream to help with the pain and inflammation of the wound site. A laser therapy session is included with most surgeries, but you may opt to purchase a laser package to help speed up the healing time.

Arthritis

The second major usage for laser therapy is for arthritis and joint issues. It decreases the pain and inflammation associated with acute or chronic joint issues. It is proven to improve the clinical signs of arthritis. Usually frequent laser therapies are needed.
