A Tennessee family nearly lost their golden retriever, Pippa, after she sneaked and ate half of the raw dinner rolls on Thanksgiving. Becky Collins, Pippa’s owner, realized too late that raw dough, which contains yeast, can expand in the stomach, causing dangerous symptoms. When Pippa became lethargic, Collins called the Pet Poison Helpline, which advised her to take the dog to an emergency vet. Pippa survived, and now the family hopes to raise awareness about the dangers of dogs eating raw dough.
